"A place where sound comes before aesthetics."
With all this craze for digital music, Ipods and other digital
audio players (DAP) these days I thought I'd put up a site on how to
take full advantage of your expensive audio gadgets.
I've
gone through many pairs of headphones and have auditioned just as many.
I tend to lean more on value when purchasing a headphone and most of my
current headphones should be classified as mid-fidelity. In my
opinion, there's really no point in pulling the trigger on a can that
costs more than 300$ bucks or so, especially if you plan on using it
with your DAP. You won't notice any significant increase in sound
quality unless you have a hi-fi home audio system or a nice computer
based rig, and even then it's still debatable to me. You'll discover
that plenty of headphones at under 99$ MSRP and under can compete with
the big boys that cost three to five times its price. I will get into
more detail later.
